Dr. Ginger Luck

Associate Veterinarian

Born and raised in Northern California.  Dr.Luck is a US Army Veteran and has been stationed at Ft. Huachucha, AZ and Seoul, South Korea. She was also was an intelligence analyst with the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the Tennessee Army National Guard.

She received her Bachelor of Science from The University of Tennessee College of Agriculture in 1995 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.

Dr.Luck practiced small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry in Tennessee,  South Carolina, and North Carolina. Recently she retired from FSIS-USDA where she was a Supervisory Public Health Veterinarian.  

Once she moved to New Mexico, she became involved with Greyhound Adoption League of Texas when she adopted her fifth Greyhound! Now she fosters with Greyhounds for GALT, New Mexico Chapter and has ended up adopting two of her fosters hounds.

She fell in love with the high desert while stationed in Arizona, so when the opportunity to move to NM in 2018 arose, she did not hesitate to accept the transfer, saying she loves the climate and cultural diversity! 

In her own words, "I consider it an honor to care for puppies and kittens all the way through their senior years.  Frosty faced pets hold a special place in my heart. I'm a strong advocate for pet population control through spay and neuter programs, I cant wait to continue practicing general medicine and building relationships with my new patients and their pet parent"

Dr. Luck shares her home with adopted Greyhounds; Aster and Beanie as well as blind Jack Russell puppy, Piñon. In her free time she enjoys watching Tennessee Volunteer football, chasing hot air balloons, hiking and enjoying our National Parks, reading, and watching spy, crime, and thriller shows.
